Red Roots Trading Company is proud to operate as a sovereign, Algonquin-owned and operated business serving Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities across Canada with a commitment to healing, tradition, and empowerment. Founded in 2023 by Anthony (AJ) Tenasco, Red Roots was inspired by the historical use of medicinal plants in Algonquin culture and the desire to provide access to natural wellness through ethically sourced, third-party laboratory tested, high-quality cannabis products.

Although we once operated several physical trading posts across Ottawa—including locations in Vanier, Russell Road, Bank Street, and downtown in the Byward Market—our operations have since evolved. For now, we exclusively serve our customers through delivery and mail-order, allowing us to reach a broader audience while remaining true to our values and roots. Our team continues to operate on unceded Algonquin territory, with every order helping support our community in Kitigan Zibi and beyond. Plus, we're working on a new private members-only club concept for new brick and mortar locations coming soon!

Whether you’re in Ottawa or across the country, we’ve made it easy and accessible to receive Red Roots products right to your door. Here’s how our ordering system works:

📦 Local Same-Day Delivery – Ottawa, Gatineau & Surrounding Regions

We offer under-an-hour delivery to customers within a 30km radius of the Ottawa city centre. Your zone will determine your delivery fee and minimum order amount:

Zone 1 (0–10 km):

$20 Delivery Fee

Free Delivery on Orders $100+

Minimum Order: $30

Zone 2 (10–20 km):

$25 Delivery Fee

Free Delivery on Orders $100+

Minimum Order: $50

Zone 3 (20–30 km):

$0 Delivery Fee

Free Delivery on ALL Orders

Minimum Order: $200

To place a delivery order, simply add items to your cart and select "Delivery" at checkout. Provide your full address, contact info, and any special instructions (such as your unit number or buzzer code).

Please note: As per Ontario and Quebec laws, a valid Government-Issued Photo ID matching the name on your order must be presented at the door to your driver.

All payments are made via secure Interac E-Transfer prior to delivery—we do not accept cash to ensure safety for our drivers.

Mail orders are paid through e-Transfer just like delivery orders. Once we receive your payment, your package is shipped promptly with care and discretion.

Important Delivery Note for Apartments & Condos

If you live in a multi-unit building, please include detailed instructions in the “Special Instructions” box during checkout to help us deliver directly to your unit. This includes buzzer codes, floor numbers, or any other relevant access information. You will receive text message updates as your order is on its way.

Missed Delivery Policy

If you are not available to receive your delivery when your driver arrives, we’ll do our best to reach you. If unsuccessful, your order will be cancelled and rescheduled only after a $20 re-delivery fee has been paid.
